Product code: FIFA0003Counterweights for football goals to ensure safety. The number of weights installed on each goal depends on the size of the goal. Counterweights for football goals are designed to prevent tipping and improve safety. We strongly recommend using counterweights to avoid accidents. Counterweights are mainly used on artificial turf fields and other hard‑surface pitches where ground anchors cannot be installed.
Counterweights for a football goal on an artificial turf field. The counterweights are made of hot-dip galvanized steel pipes, with a length of approximately 1.8 m. The weight of each counterweight is around 55 kg. The counterweights are attached to the football goal frame using shackles or carabiners. Safety standards according to EN norms: EN 748:2013 describes the method for checking the prevention of a football goal "neck" falling: Pull horizontally from the center of the upper crossbar of the football goal with a force of 1100 N for about 1 minute. The goal should not fall over when such a force is applied.
